I posted this on my Facebook today and decided I felt it was important enough to blog it here too.
A friend posted this link:
It's My Story: Getting Bi
Having listened to this quite interesting, though short, radio documentary I felt I wanted to respond. This is the resultant little rant I placed on Facebook:
"You know, for the record... Bisexuality is no more of a choice than being gay is. I am bisexual; I am not a lesbian who is in denial. I will have a physical relationship with anyone, regardless of gender, PROVIDED I LOVE THEM and they are up for it. Nor am greedy (despite being polyamorous). I am just aware that a) what twiddly bits someone happens to possess has no bearing on whether I can like or love them, and b) I have learnt by experience that loving someone 'with all of your heart' can be done to more than one person at a time. To quote the documentary, "some people ARE Bisexual, so get over it!" Some people are also poly, so get over that one too."
Thanks for listening :-)

Banned From Argo, by Leslie Fish
Torchwood are Banned From Argo.
Yes, I know I posted it before, but hell this makes me smile so much!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eu4mFV3TxTo&feature=related
When we pulled into Argo Port in need of R & R
The crew set out investigating every joint and bar
We had high expectations of their hospitality
But found too late it wasn't geared for spacers such as we
And we're banned from Argo every one
Banned from Argo just for having a little fun
We spent a jolly shoreleave there for just three days or four
But Argo doesn't want us anymore
Our captain's tastes were simple but his methods were complex
We found him with five partners each of a different world and sex
The shorepolice were on the way -- we had no second chance
We beamed him up in the nick of time in the remnants of his pants
And we're banned from Argo every one
Banned from Argo just for having a little fun
We spent a jolly shoreleave there for just three days or four
But Argo doesn't want us anymore
Our engineer would yield to none in putting down the brew
He outdrank seven space marines and a demolition crew
The navigator didn't win but he outdrank almost all
And now they've got a shuttlecraft on the roof of city hall
And we're banned from Argo every one
Banned from Argo just for having a little fun
We spent a jolly shoreleave there for just three days or four
But Argo doesn't want us anymore
Our proper cool first officer was drugged with something green
And hauled into an alley where he suffered things obscene
He sobered up in sickbay and he's none the worse for wear
Except he somehow taught the bridge computer how to swear
And we're banned from Argo every one
Banned from Argo just for having a little fun
We spent a jolly shoreleave there for just three days or four
But Argo doesn't want us anymore
The head nurse disappeared a while in the major dope bazaar
Buying an odd green potion guaranteed to cause pon farr
She came home with no uniform and an oddly cheerful heart
And a painful way of walking with her feet a yard apart
And we're banned from Argo every one
Banned from Argo just for having a little fun
We spent a jolly shoreleave there for just three days or four
But Argo doesn't want us anymore

RJ Scott's 'The Christmas Throwaway' is Terrific

My rating: 5 of 5 stars
I really loved this story. The characters are very well-rounded and their tale is sweet, engrossing and has a perfect ending. I fell for Zach the moment I met him, as does Ben; I can see why. I adored Ben's family and friends too, all of whom come alive on the pages, alongside the handsome and realistic main characters. The setting, Hill Valley, is delightful too.
I read it in a day, which is always a sign of a fabulous read, especially since I am a word-by-word reader rather than a speed reader!
I'm going to be reading RJ Scott's 'Oracle' next.
Thanks to the author for a terrific tale of compassion and affection.

Things NOT to Ask a Gay Guy
Thanks to Davey Wavey for this wonderful video. What he says goes for what not to ask a Bisexual Babe Woman like me too...
Not really! I love answering dumb questions from even dumber questioners, especially when I am using MIRC. Ask away peeps, but remember I have a most evil sense of humour. You have been warned.

What the eye sees
This is a young woman with a man, apparently, a still from the film 'Gegen die Wand' (Head-on). This is not how I read it though. I see a teenage male with an older man, and as such this image inspires me to write.
It also makes me think of Lucas and Miles, from Redemption Reef, even though Miles is a redhead and Lucas is Polynesian. It's the poses, the expressions, the situation you can read the two characters into.

Book Review - Infected: Prey by Andrea Speed

My rating: 5 of 5 stars
I've read the first novella in this two novella pack and I love it. The characters are sassy, real, attractive and smart. This isn't a soppy romance, nor is it thinly disguised porn, it's a good quality thriller. Yes, the main characters are two males in love with each other, and that flows through the whole story, but it isn't the whole story, it's the undertow of a very good whodunnit. Love it! Well done Andrea Speed!

Latest Picture of Lyle Ashley Tate
This is the latest picture for Lyle Ashley Tate, my Redemption Reef character. Lyle is about to change his life once again, by accepting an offer he really can't refuse. The US Italian Mafia have been after him for eight years, and now the Russian Mafia, the Bratva, are looking at him for the murder of their man Henry Vale (though it was Flynn Atcher who killed the Bratva's mortician). In steos the mysterious 'Eidolon', a company that doesn't exist, but yet they have virtually unlimited resources and want to send Lyle, and his friends, to a private tropical island and have them participate in some sort of disaster relief effort for the storm-tossed natives.
To read more, head over to Redemption Reef. Third part of the story goes up this evening, 7pm GMT. It's HOT, so make sure you are over 18 and not likely to be offended or arrested for reading consensual M/M sex scenes! Click on the end tab to get to the story posts.
